3 years ago next month we went on our first Sunday Adventure. We were dealing with the diagnosis of my best friend sister with late stage colon cancer. I was struggling. I knew that I needed to do something. I told Johnpaul that I needed to get out of the house. Nature has always been my place; The trees, the desert, the mountains, the water. We packed up our little family – Garden Girl (4 at the time) and Sunshine Boy (7 months)- and headed out to Lucky Peak to explore. It was such a light in a rough week, that I decided we should start doing it more regularly. Carve out time. Make it happen. Thus, Sunday Adventures were born.
We don’t make it out every Sunday. Some weeks are just too crazy, some weather just too cold, some adventures are meant for other days, but we try to make as many as we can. It’s been a good time of separating ourselves from the craziness and spending time together.
After much encouragement and questions about Sunday Adventures, I decided to start this blog. I am going to try and keep up with our current adventures and occasionally highlight a favorite or two from the past. I hope this gives you some ideas on how to spend some extra time with your loves – outside or not!

I can’t wait to see more adventures!❤️
